TEVEKKUL — PRIVACY POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy explains how the Tevekkul mobile application (the "App"), developed and operated by Göktuğ Usta ("we", "Tevekkul"), collects, uses, stores and protects user data.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

2. DATA CONTROLLER

3. DATA WE COLLECT

3.1. Account data When you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name. When you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive only the minimum information required for authentication (a user identifier and an email address) from the relevant provider. If you choose to hide your email address during Sign in with Apple, we do not have access to your real email address.

You may also use the App without creating an account. In that case an anonymous session is created and no identifying information is collected.

3.2. Location data We use your device's approximate location (latitude and longitude) to calculate prayer times accurately. If you decline the location permission, the App defaults to Istanbul and allows you to select a city manually.

Location data is used solely for on-device prayer time calculation. We do not share location data with third parties, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not keep a location history. Only the detected or selected city name and its coordinates are stored with your settings.

3.3. Usage and content data We store the records you create while using the App:

  • Tasks you create, along with their descriptions, dates and completion status
  • Prayer records you mark as performed
  • Your dhikr sessions and counter values
  • Supplications you save
  • Your app preferences (theme, language, calculation method, school of law, notification preferences)

3.4. Technical data Your session information is stored on your device so that the App can function. We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising tracking tools inside the App.

4. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

We do not collect:

  • Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data
  • Contacts, photos, microphone or camera data
  • Sensitive personal data such as health or biometric data
  • Precise location history
  • Payment card details

In-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store. We never have access to your payment information.

5. HOW WE USE DATA

We use the data we collect only for the following purposes:

  • Calculating prayer times based on your location
  • Storing your task, prayer, dhikr and supplication records and syncing them across your devices
  • Sending the notifications you have requested
  • Managing your account and authenticating you
  • Responding to your support requests
  • Maintaining the security of the App and preventing abuse

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or marketing.

6. LEGAL BASIS

We process your personal data on the basis of the performance of our contract with you (delivering the service), your explicit consent (location and notification permissions), and our legitimate interest (security and abuse prevention).

7. STORAGE AND SECURITY

Your data is stored on servers operated by our infrastructure provider, Supabase Inc., located within the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Supabase acts as a data processor in this context.

Your data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Row Level Security policies are enforced at the database level, so each user can access only their own data.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

8. RETENTION

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, all of your personal data and content records are permanently deleted within thirty (30) days. Records that we are legally required to retain are kept until the end of the applicable period.

9. DATA SHARING

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is shared only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to deliver the service:

  • Supabase Inc. — database and authentication infrastructure (European Union)
  • Apple Inc. — app distribution, Sign in with Apple, and in-app purchases
  • Google LLC — authentication, only if you use Sign in with Google
  • RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription status management (only for users who purchase a subscription)

We may also be required to respond to lawful requests from competent public authorities under applicable law.

10. YOUR RIGHTS

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is being processed
  • Request information about the data processed
  • Request rectification of your data
  • Request erasure of your data
  • Object to processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent

To exercise these rights, write to support@tevekkul.app. We respond to requests within thirty (30) days at the latest.

11. DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT

You can delete your account at any time from within the App: Settings > Account > Delete my account. This action is irreversible and permanently deletes all of your data.

Alternatively, you may send a request to support@tevekkul.app.

12. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not directed at children under the age of thirteen (13). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under thirteen. If we discover that such data has been collected, we delete it immediately.

13. NOTIFICATIONS

If you grant notification permission, we send notifications to your device for prayer times and reminders. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. You may turn notifications off at any time from your device settings or from the Settings section of the App.

14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy. We will announce significant changes within the App or by email. The effective date of any change appears at the top of this document.
